CEO's Services

CEO actively manages site location requests, workforce training grants and incentives assistance. CEO works with Alachua County and local governments in securing all resources available to new and expanding business and industry. Through its five-year strategic plan, Opportunity 2010, CEO is charged to assist new and expanding business and industry through Expansion, Growing Our Own and Attraction efforts.

How CEO Helps

• Serves as the primary contact for new and expanding companies looking for site selection assistance
• Maintains a comprehensive database on existing industrial sites and buildings in the area
• Provides labor and training information, permitting support and other business development needs
• Increases awareness of Alachua County as a business location through investment missions, direct mail campaigns, advertising, public relations activities and trade shows
• Offers comprehensive demographic data and economic analysis to companies seeking information
• Assists established businesses with expansion plans

• More than 800 new jobs created and retained, offering $30 million in new capital investments
  
• More than $450,000 in training grants to area business and industry
  
• Increase in area's average wage by 13.5 percent since 2006
  
• $46 million+ in capital investments, at an average wage of nearly $40,000/year—$10,000 more than Alachua County’s average annual wage of $32,275/year
• Responded to more than 190 projects, referrals and inquiries
• Formed historical new partnerships with local government and regulatory agencies
