First of all, you should know that Gainesville is still in the running for Google's Gigabit Fiber to the Home. Our job now is to bring it home with flair...and with hip, new media, bandwidth-hogging technology. You can help!
Gig4GNV is launching The Great Gig4GNV Scavenger Hunt in September. The hunt will include multiple Gainesville locations where participants must do a mobile checkin, snap a picture with the Gig4GNV logo and share via Twitter, Facebook, etc. You can see an example of national checkin pics (Starbucks) here, but think LOCAL!
Now we need microsponsors, but act quickly! The Gig4GNV team will accept only the first 20 local merchants or organizations (anyone with an address people can visit and snap mobile pix) who would like to be part of The Great Gig4GNV Scavenger Hunt. Sponsors will get:
1) Scavenger hunt participants (i.e. customers) to visit their location, and
2) Mobile pictures of your location spread across Facebook, Twitter etc.
All that fun for only a $50 microsponsorship of Gig4GNV is a no-brainer. Whether you serve food, drink, clothes, computers, entrepreneurs, students, citizens, or professional services, we need you. Whether you do it for marketing or to support Gig4GNV, we need you. To be one of the first 20 in the The Great Gig4GNV Scavenger Hunt, just e-mail the following to gain.net.fl@gmail.com:
1) Your interest in participating
2) Your business/organization name (required)
3) Your street address for check-ins (required): if you have multiple locations, please list.
4) Your Twitter or Facebook address (optional)
If selected, you will then receive sponsorship instructions and ideas on how to best engage participants when we kickoff The Great Gig4GNV Scavenger Hunt!
E-mail your information to gain.net.fl@gmail.com to become a microsponsor.
